How to wear dresses in the fall&winter
Just because the weather is cooler doesn’t mean you can’t dress up and wear cute dresses. There’s different types of dresses to wear in cooler seasons that are designed with heavier fabrics like wool, heavy cotton, sweater dresses from knit wear or you can fine ways to make use of your light weight dresses which are often sheer, thin cotton or a jersey material.
TIPS
Tip#1- Tights and fishnets are an important factor when you want to wear a dress or a skirt during the fall. The legs will be
warm and protected from the cool air. Purchase tights with unique colors, prints or you could stick to your basic black which is perfectly fine. To funk it up try bold colors like hot pink, purple, yellow, or orange. Also a nude color or something that matches close to your skin color to play with the eye. People will think that your not wearing tights but you actually are. I’ve seen it be done for. I thought it was cool but only if its done with the right outfit. To still look presentable, appreciate, and a fashionista it requirs you to putting more effort and creativity.
Tip #2- Trench Coats, cardigans, and jackets are of course needed to keep you extra warm since your wearing a dress.
Tip#3- Even though your wearing a coat and you still want to show some of your dress. Its ok to leave the coat open all the way or some. Make sure you are wearing a scarf to keep the chest area protected from the cold air. Not just that but it adds more volume and accessories to the outfit. I often wear overly size and long scarfs because I like the way it drapes around the neck.
Tip#4- Boots or flats are great to wear. Boots are more common in the cooler season. Over the knee boots are cool but it will cover up allot of your legs and the tights. So if you want your tights to also get notice try wearing booties or boots that want cover up your legs too much. If your not that tall wear booties or ankle boots to make your legs look longer.
