Make-Up Monday (college students)
Congratulations to all the new freshmans who have started school this month or anyone who is starting this fall. Being a new college student myself my schedule is pretty mapped out and my long classes has filled up most of my day. To keep yourself from looking tired with bags under your eyes from late night studying or parting, try purchasing make up or concealers to bring back your youth&spirt. You don’t have to pack your face with products or dry out your pockets. Like most college students we are on a bugdet.
FOUNDATIONS-
Let’s talk about two product high-end and low-end. First is the Mac Pro-Longwear. It says to last 15hrs a a day and carries spf 10 which is great for when your outside going to campus to campus on super sunny days. Who wants to be that girl who always leave to go to the bathroom just to check your makeup?” Um not me. This product does last 15hrs. Personally for me it last a little longer.
If you have oily skin you can use this product because it has a matte finish to block the oil but at the same time it has a
natural shine but not too much. This liquid foundation is priced at $30 at the Mac store and Macy’s. I know some people may have had a bad exsperience with the Mac’s Studio fix fluid which is a full coverage foundation. Some people have broken out from Studio Fix Fluid but the Pro-Longwear is different because it’s not thick and heavy on the face. The Pro-Longwear is sheer to medium coverage but is buildable. I’m guessing Mac had to come up for a salution to the problem and Pro-Longwear is a big step up. Their color range is great so you can always go to store and try the makeup on before purchasing.
Now if you not sure if you want that spend that much on a foundation try Revlon Colorstay liquid foundation. This is priced usually between $12-14. Some drug stores have deals like buy one get the 2nd one free or 30% off. Many people do compare this to the Pro-Longwear because of the staying power of 16hrs and that the product doesn’t transfer off your face.
The Revlon Colorstay does really stay and drys face. So you have to blend it in quickly. Coverage is great meduim-to full with a matte finish. This is more of a matte finish and it really does help with oils. When I tried this product on my hand it was a little difficult to decide. I didn’t know which color to buy because you can’t try one makeup in a drug store so you have to take a risk. This product does have a strong paint smell in the bottle but it goes away after applying it so don’t worry your face want smell like paint. What’s also great is that they have foundation for combination/oily skin and normal/dry skin. So this is giving all skin types a chance to try their make up
The colors scale has variations for pale, light, tan, and darker skin tons but I do think Revlon should have a little bit more options because often times some people have to mix the colors. Mixing two colors is a waste and gives you the oppsition to purchase the Pro-longwear or any other high end foundation.
CONCEALERS-
Now this is a product that I feel is very important for people with bags or dark under circles under their eyes. I don’t have dark circles or really any bags undermines so I wouldn’t be a big expert but I have done a ton of research for you ladies. With a low-end brand the most popular item that is purchase is the Hard Candy Glamoflauge concealer is thick and is often raved on YouTube
. It really does help with dark circles and also bags under your eyes and can also be nice to use to brighten up the under eye. To get the brighten effect you need to purchase a color 1 or 2 shades lighter then your skin complication. You can find Glamoflauge Concealer at Amazon, Targets and Walmart for about $6. The next product coast 5 times more. Its the HD Makeup Forever concealer priced at $28. Both items do the same thing but the HD has a little bit more of an effect and want sink into the lines of bags and really give your eyes a natural look. A little application to the eye goes along ways with both products so try not to use to much.
I hope this help allot you who are looking for products that fits in your budget. I provided both high and low-end products to allow help you to have options and hope to find your HG(Holy Grail) cosmetics. Its best to actually buy any cosmetic at the store or their official site instead of other online sites to prevent from buying false make-up.
